Hallo zusammen,
weiß jemand ob man im Februar auf die Perhentians kommt und ob die Unterkünfte geöffnet sind? Oder ist das wegen Regenzeit eher nicht zu empfehlen bzw. nicht mögich? In den Reiseführern u. a. auch im aktuellen Loose, steht drin, dass dies wohl nicht möglich wäre. Ich bin mir aber ziemlich sicher dass ich vor ca. 20 Jahren auch im Februar dort war. Vielleicht hat ja jemand aktuelle Infos u. vielleicht auch noch aktuelle Tips dazu.

Es ist halt recht eingeschränkt: "The monsoon season peaks between November and March every year. You can expect more rain and rough seas and most resorts are typically closed from end October through end-February." (http://www.myoutdoor.com/perhentian/TravelTips.html) bzw. "Due to the eastern monsoon, the season in the Perhentians (and all other east coast islands) is effectively limited to the period between the beginning of March until late October. Outside this period the seas can be very rough and choppy, skies overcast, and with currents that make swimming dangerous and most (though not all) accommodation options are closed. However, many of them located on Coral Beach start on beginning of Feb, while on the Long Beach usually a month later. Do not believe the travel-agents when they claim the accommodations are open. Even if they will provide a room, restaurants and all shops (i.e. no place to get water, food, sunscreen etc.) are closed in off-season. If the restaurant is open, food choices will be very limited and over-priced. However, in the village cheap meals and shops are available year-round. Ich war auch schon im Februar dort, ist aber auch schon lange her. Schau doch mal in den Buchungsportalen. Dann siehst du schnell, welche Hotels geöffnet sind.
