Aloha in die Runde
in knapp 3 Wochen gehts für mich Richtung Sri Lanka,
da ich erstmalig eine nicht Rucksackreisende bei mir als Begleitung habe würde ich gerne für die ersten 2 Nächte ein Hotel verbindlich buchen.
Welche Empfehlungen habt ihr da?
Macht eine Unterkunft dirket in Clombo Sinn oder sollte man doch nach Mount Lavinia ausweichen - zwecks Erholungscharakter.
Wer kann was zu den Vorortzugverbindungen von Mount Lavinia nach Colombo rein sagen - in welchen Abständen wird die Strecke bedient, gibt es auch nachts Verbindungen und wie lange braucht man für die Strecke?

Falls es auch etwas teurer sein darf und ihr Kolonialatmosphäre mögt, dann wäre das Mount Lavinia Hotel empfehlenswert, eigentlich die beste Lage für Colombo, ausserhalb des grössten Trubels, direkt am Strand und trotzdem nicht allzuweit in die Innenstadt.
Mir hat es dort immer gut gefallen, das ist allerdings eine Weile her. Auch das Essen ist dort ausgezeichnet.

Hallo Cayenne,
ich war erst im Juni 2013 in Sri Lanka unterwegs. Wir haben Colombo auf Anraten von Freunden, die bereits in Sri Lanka waren, ausgelassen. Vom Flughafen aus sind wir direkt zum Bahnhof mit einem Bus gefahren und dann mit dem Zug weiter nach Kandy.
In Sri Lanka selbst haben wir dann von einigen Reisenden erfahren, dass Colombo wirklich keinen Aufenthalt wert sein soll.

I traveled to India in the period from 24.03-06.02.2014 .
Online I found the page of Ayal Pal and his team .
After a few pleasant emails , I was sure his supply- gain .
the tour of six days started with picking up of the airport where I got my driver Malik met . I drove straight to the hotel and after a short leisure trip there began the tour Delhi .
He showed me the Different Tempel, markets, typical Indian food local where we talked at a dinner the next day .
he went to my very wishes and ask one , which gave me the same peace of mind .
early am next morning we where off to Jaipur , he got me a guide who shared with us the whole day and my beautiful sites of Jaipur the castle , pink city , markets, and as a great bonus for showing such an elephant ride where I was allowed to touch elephants and could feed him.
next morning we went on to Udipur the " water city " which is absolutely incredible beautiful . he showed me the city and place a boating over the lake for a dinner I went for a walk round and then back to the hotel .
next morning it went on to Pushkar where I could inquire the holy lake with all its beautiful pages .
all the time Malik was a big help and advice on my side . he was very helpful. The car ride was very pleasant
He knew a lot about india and its history, his eglisch was very good. all in one, I would at any time take a trip with him.
